Ajmal Arazem, right, grabs a bite to eat as his wife, Palwashah, left, calls the rest of children to sit down for dinner on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at the Hollywood Casino & Hotel Maryland Heights. It's been three days since they landed at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The Arazem’s situation signals the transition isn’t going smoothly. Hot meals are sporadic. The family has a small refrigerators but without microwaves in their hotel rooms, re-heating delivered meals and cooking hasn’t been an option. Lots of snack foods — cookies and chips — often make main meals. From, left, are children Amena, 1 12/, Kojesta, 9, Shogofa,11, and Mateullah, 4.
